What happens to your cash after you ran end of day, especially if you are not in your shop?
Even if you are in your shop all the time it can still become a job to keep track of cash before it goes to the bank. Any person in the food and beverage industry will know that running end of day usually happens late nite or early morning.
Often you did not have time to bank and there is stock that needs to be bought. It gets even more difficult managing everything on your own, lets take an example: you closed up at 4am and straight back at 10am the next morning, you just walked in thinking you are going to get the banking done when the first people walks in and the waiter or barman needs stock to be issued.
Knowing how it goes we incorporated a Master Float feature that simplifies the process by spreading workload between the various persons doing payouts over the run of the day.
By the time you need to balance the cash on hand you simply open up the master float and double-check that everything is in order in one go.
Payouts can be booked on any of the sales points and the various access levels determines if they can book expenses from the till or gaming payouts. The manager will have access to a running balance sheet that keeps track of the cash on hand after sales and its own payouts may it be for wages, stock or payouts made to gamers.
The master float payouts are easily configured to your requirements with the setup tool. This means you can keep track of any cash movement in your business.
In some cases you have a manager that does not close up and will need to leave additional float for payouts with the cashiers, we streamlined this with a float boost facility.
The master float provides a running balance that can be balanced with the actual cash at any time. Apart from being flexible when it comes to when you need to balance, it also allows for balancing to be done on any one of the servers or nodes on your network. This is especially handy if you have multiple shops that you manage remotely.
Our motivation behind creating this feature where the fact that we always needed float to make payouts to gaming machines, but it is not a good idea to leave bigger amounts of cash with the cashiers. The master float feature gives us the added section to our cash-ups to manage a separated float from a safe in a secured area.
All aspects are taken into consideration. We have included a transfer facility that allows for easy income into the float if it is by bank transfer or hard cash coming into the system.
In the end of the day, the master float feature spreads work load among staff and over time making everyone’s work easier.
